Jen and Courtney's father[]
When Jen is lecturing Courtney about responsibility late in the episode, Courtney mentions that Jen is "Mum and Dad's little star".
I always thought this was an odd statement to make, because at this point, the Masterson sisters do not actually have a father.
Well, I mean, they had to have had a male parent at some point, but one of the facts established in Take This Job and Squeeze It is that Emma Masterson is dating Mr. Garcia, indicating that their mother is single and unattached at this point. Also, in The Wedding Destroyers, Jen specifically mentions that their father is "not around". The subtext of this scene has a heavy emphasis that he is deceased, not divorced, since the emotional context would be a whole lot different if Jen could go and see her father whenever she wanted.
So, in closing, I'm assuming if he'd been dead for a long time, Jen and Courtney would have gotten out of the habit of discussing him, both to avoid traumatic memories and because he was no longer involved in their lives. Buckmana 21:42, December 1, 2011 (UTC)
Another misphrased comment by Courtney[]
This was another thing Courtney says that I find odd:
"The joke in our family is that Jen was the brother we never had."
Who is the we she is referring to? As far as I know, until Emma Masterson, Jr. was born, Jen was her only sister!
Shouldn't the correct phrasing be:
"Jen was the brother I never had."
Why that reference?[]
In the episode, the Picture and the Costumes they are wearing is a Reference to a 1986 Movie which spawned many Sequels (1992, 1998, 2003 and 2007) and an Upcoming Remake. That was Unfair, since the costumes actually were Property of Warner Bros. and Summit Entertainment. Warner decided to BLOCK videos of the Episode on YouTube. Why, Warner Bros? WHY?

Courtney's expulsion[]
A recent edit cites low academic performance as the reason for Courtney being expelled from her college.
But she doesn't seem uneducated, so I doubt this to be the reason.
I was assuming it was a combination of wild partying and legal infringement that got her expelled.
Which would definitely be accurate considering what she does in this episode, forging IDs to take the gang to a club where you need to be a legal adult to enter.
