Forums: Index > Rules

Welcome to the 6teen Wiki, the show where we talk about everything related to 6teen! If you plan to edit this wiki, there are several rules that sysops, and you as a contributor, must follow for a safe and fun experience. Please do note that just because something isn't listed in the rules, it doesn't mean it's okay to do.

Notice: As of March 24, 2021, a new policy has been announced addressing wiki admins blocking users for no good reason. Said policy went into effect as of April 1st, 2021. Admins and sysops, please look over the rules before you block a user. Thank you.

General rules

  • You must be at least 13 years or older to have a FANDOM account - In accordance to the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), users who sign up for any wiki on this network must be 13 years or older to edit here. If we find out that you're underaged, you will be blocked until you turn 13. We do not negotiate on this.
  • No sockpuppetry - If you are blocked from editing the 6teen Wiki, wait until your current ban expires. Sockpuppetry refers to creating several alternate accounts to evade a ban and/or cause a general disruption. Any sockpuppet accounts you create will be permanently banned, and the ban on your current account will be extended. Should this offense continue, you will receive a permanent ban. In addition, all of your sock accounts will be reported to the FANDOM staff.

Sockpuppetry is only allowed for the following:

  • You lost access to your account and are unable to reset your password.
  • You disabled your current account and wanted to make a new one.
  • The current account you use is for another wiki.
  • Anything that falls under Wikipedia's WP:SOCKLEGIT.
  • Listen to what the admins say - They have the final word in every situation. When an admin tells you to stop doing something, stop and listen to what they say.
  • Avoid backseat moderating - Backseat moderating refers to users doing things that are commonly associated with moderators or administrators. We understand you have the best intentions, but warnings are taken more seriously when they come from an admin. If you see someone breaking the rules, please report them instead of trying to take maters into your own hands.
  • No inappropriate content - Do not post such content on the wiki, as there may be minors on here. As such, sending sexually explicit content to minors is illegal. Not only will you be blocked indefinitely, you will be reported to the authorities and will be arrested.

Article/Message Wall rules

  • Do not revert admin edits - While this isn't rule breaking in and of itself, the only exception that applies to this rule is when the admin posts something that is factually incorrect. Besides that, both sysops and bureaucrats have the right of way when reverting another user's edits. Remember: Just because you don't agree with an admin's edit doesn't mean you can revert it.
  • Be respectful to everyone, including yourself - Do not harass, threaten, intimidate, or offend other users on this wiki. This includes, but is not limited to: Forgery, submitting false reports about other users, pranks, venting about a user you're having trouble with on another Fandom wiki, etc. This is a form of cyberbullying and such behavior will not be tolerated. Depending on the severity of the issue, you may be blocked for up to a year.
  • No spamming - Do not add nonsensical content into an article, blog post, chatroom, etc. This also applies to removing correct information from pages or moving them around without administrative consent. Failure to comply with these rules will result in your account being blocked for some time, depending on the actions that lead to this.
  • No fanon material - Do not post pictures, videos, articles, or other forms of media unrelated to 6teen on the wiki. You may, however, use these pictures on your userpage, given that they do not contain adult or otherwise NSFW (Not safe for work) content. If you wish to create fanmade content, please go to the 6teen fanon wiki.
  • No advertising - Do not post any form of advertisement about another Fandom wiki, or a form of media that you are currently developing. This is considered soliciting.
  • No edit warring - Edit warring means to revert edits back and forth because two or more users can't agree on something. In addition, this also clogs up the Recent Changes page. If you are caught engaging in an edit war, you, and everyone else involved, will be dealt with.

Consquences

  • If a user violates one of these rules, they will suffer the consequences.
